Rahul Gandhi Visits Injured Student Protesters at RML Hospital Before Congress March

Rahul Gandhi visited Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on Tuesday to meet students injured during police action on the CJP-led 'Sansad Chalo' protest, before taking part in the Congress's political protest over the incident.

The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha met injured protesters receiving treatment at the hospital and enquired about their condition. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and senior party leader K C Venugopal were also present during the hospital visit.

The Congress leaders also met the mother of a young woman who had suffered serious injuries during the protest and was receiving intensive medical care at RML Hospital.

The hospital visit came a day after clashes broke out during the protesters' attempt to march towards Parliament. The demonstration was linked to demands concerning the NEET paper leak and wider concerns over India's examination system.

Rahul Gandhi criticised the police action and questioned the Centre's response to the students' concerns. Congress maintained that students raising issues related to examinations and their future should be heard rather than subjected to force.

After meeting the injured protesters, Rahul Gandhi joined Congress leaders as the party intensified its protest against the government's handling of the incident.

Security was tightened around Parliament and other sensitive areas of central Delhi as opposition leaders continued their demonstrations. Police erected barricades and deployed additional personnel to prevent protesters from entering restricted zones.

The developments have pushed the student agitation into the centre of the political debate, with opposition parties demanding accountability over the police action while the government faces growing pressure to address concerns surrounding examinations and student welfare.

The protests have also reached Parliament, where opposition leaders have sought a discussion on the issue and demanded answers from the government over the events surrounding the march.
