Priyanka Gandhi Joins Rahul Gandhi in Protest at Lok Kalyan Marg

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined senior party leader Rahul Gandhi during a protest at Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi on Tuesday, as the opposition stepped up its demonstrations over the recent student protest violence in the national capital.

The Congress protest witnessed the participation of MPs, senior leaders and party workers, who gathered to demand accountability over the alleged use of force against students during recent demonstrations. Protesters carried party flags and placards while raising slogans in support of students and calling for a fair investigation into the incidents.

Security was significantly tightened around Lok Kalyan Marg and nearby areas, with Delhi Police deploying additional personnel, barricades and traffic restrictions to prevent protesters from entering high-security zones. Authorities monitored the gathering closely to ensure law and order.

Addressing supporters, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi reiterated the party's demand for protecting democratic rights and ensuring that peaceful protests are respected. They urged the government to engage with students through dialogue rather than confrontation.

Police officials maintained that the enhanced security arrangements were necessary to safeguard sensitive locations and prevent any disruption to public order. They appealed to protesters to cooperate with law enforcement and follow designated routes.

The protest is part of a series of demonstrations organized by opposition parties in Delhi following the recent unrest linked to student protests. Political leaders have continued to press for accountability while the administration has defended its handling of the situation.
