The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is preparing for a series of major missions as the country's space programmed moves into its next phase following recent launch successes.
One of ISRO's biggest priorities remains the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programmed. The organization has begun launch campaign activities for the first uncrewed Gaganyaan mission, which will test critical systems required before India sends astronauts into space. Crew safety, launch vehicle reliability and recovery systems remain key focus areas.
ISRO is also continuing work on strengthening India's satellite navigation capabilities through the NavIC programme. According to information shared in Parliament, the next NavIC satellite, NVS-03, is ready for launch, while additional satellites are in advanced stages of development.
Beyond human spaceflight, ISRO is advancing plans for future exploration missions, including Chandrayaan follow-up missions, a Mars lander concept and the long-term goal of establishing the Bharatiya Antariksh Station. Officials have also outlined plans for advanced launch vehicles capable of supporting deep-space and human missions.
Recent ISRO updates also highlight progress in the SpaDeX docking programme and continued scientific observations from missions such as Aditya-L1, reflecting the agency's expanding capabilities in space technology and research.
With multiple flagship programmes moving forward simultaneously, the coming months are expected to be significant for India's space ambitions as ISRO continues preparations for human spaceflight, satellite launches and future deep-space exploration.
