Fahadh Faasil’s Don’t Trouble the Trouble Opens in Theatres, Marks His Telugu Solo Lead Debut

Fahadh Faasil’s Don’t Trouble the Trouble Opens in Theatres, Marks His Telugu Solo Lead Debut

Fahadh Faasil’s Don’t Trouble the Trouble has officially opened in theatres, arriving on October 2, 2026 across Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil versions. The fantasy entertainer marks Fahadh’s first Telugu film as a solo lead, with newcomer Shashank Yeleti writing and directing the film.

Fahadh Faasil Plays a Street Magician

Fahadh plays Suri, a street magician who relies on tricks rather than genuine supernatural powers. His life changes after he encounters Divya, a young girl who actually possesses supernatural abilities.

The story follows the unlikely pair as they become involved in an adventure connected to Divya’s missing parents.

First Telugu Film as Solo Lead

While Fahadh has previously appeared in Telugu cinema, Don’t Trouble the Trouble represents a significant step as his first Telugu film in a solo-lead role.

The actor has spoken about the challenges of performing in Telugu, including working through his dialogue delivery and insisting on dubbing his own lines. The film was shot across numerous real locations in Hyderabad during an extended production period.

Shashank Yeleti Makes His Directorial Debut

The film is written and directed by Shashank Yeleti and is presented by S. S. Rajamouli. The production team includes Shobu Yarlagadda, Prasad Devineni and S. S. Karthikeya.

The cast includes child actor Ssara Palekar, Saurabh Sachdeva and other supporting performers.

Three-Language Release

Don’t Trouble the Trouble has opened in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil. The film received a U/A certificate ahead of its theatrical release and has a reported runtime of about 2 hours and 38 minutes.

The different language versions also feature prominent voice-over artists, with Nandamuri Balakrishna associated with the Telugu version, Mohanlal with the Malayalam version and Kamal Haasan with the Tamil version.

Opening Day Performance

The film recorded an estimated ₹1.65 crore India net on Day 1 across languages, according to early box-office tracking reported by The Times of India. The Telugu version accounted for approximately ₹1.44 crore, making it the largest contributor on opening day.

These are early estimates and can be revised as final collection data becomes available.

Release Was Previously Postponed

The film was originally scheduled for September 11, 2026, before the makers moved it to October 2. The revised date was officially announced in September.

What Happens Next

With the film now in theatres, its weekend performance across the three language markets will determine how strongly it sustains after its opening day.

The fantasy-driven story, Fahadh’s Telugu debut as a solo lead and the involvement of S. S. Rajamouli have made the film one of the notable South Indian releases of the October 2 weekend.

TVR Perspective

Don’t Trouble the Trouble arrives with a combination of fantasy, comedy and emotional drama rather than a conventional action formula. Its theatrical run will now show how audiences respond to Fahadh Faasil in his first Telugu solo-lead outing and to Shashank Yeleti’s debut feature.
