Drishyam 3: The Conclusion Opens to a Major Box Office Start, Earns ₹95.10 Crore Worldwide

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has made a major opening at the box office, collecting an estimated ₹95.10 crore worldwide on its first day after releasing in theatres on October 2, 2026. The film has delivered the biggest opening of Ajay Devgn’s career, although it narrowly missed the ₹100 crore worldwide mark on Day 1.

₹66.75 Crore Net in India

According to trade estimates cited by India Today, the film collected approximately ₹66.75 crore net in India on its opening day across 15,759 shows. Its India gross was reported at around ₹80.10 crore.

Overseas earnings contributed roughly another ₹15 crore, taking the reported worldwide opening to ₹95.10 crore.

Biggest Opening of Ajay Devgn’s Career

The opening has become a significant milestone for Ajay Devgn.

The film's ₹66.75 crore India net opening surpassed the previous opening-day figures reported for several of his major releases, including Singham Again. The performance has consequently been reported as the biggest opening of Devgn's career.

The film also opened substantially higher than the earlier Hindi entries in the franchise. Drishyam opened at around ₹5.85 crore net in 2015, while Drishyam 2 began with approximately ₹15.38 crore net in 2022.

The Final Chapter of the Hindi Franchise

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar and features Tabu and Jaideep Ahlawat among the principal cast.

The Hindi film presents an original storyline rather than following the Malayalam Drishyam 3 story, making it a separate conclusion to the Hindi franchise.

Strong Theatrical Response

The film's opening was supported by strong advance bookings and packed shows across several major markets. Early reports on release day pointed to significant audience demand, which translated into a large first-day collection.

The ₹95.10 crore worldwide figure also puts the film close to the ₹100 crore mark in a single day, although the reported Day 1 total remained below that threshold.

How It Compares With the Franchise

The opening-day numbers show how significantly the commercial scale of the Hindi Drishyam franchise has grown:

  • Drishyam (2015): ₹5.85 crore India net on Day 1
  • Drishyam 2 (2022): ₹15.38 crore India net on Day 1
  • Drishyam 3: The Conclusion (2026): ₹66.75 crore India net on Day 1

The figures are based on trade reports and are not directly comparable in every respect because release sizes, ticket prices and market conditions have changed over the years.

What Happens Next?

The focus now shifts to the film's weekend performance. With the film already recording a substantial opening, its Saturday and Sunday collections will provide a clearer indication of how strongly it sustains its initial momentum.

TVR Perspective

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has turned the final chapter of the Hindi franchise into a major theatrical event. The reported ₹95.10 crore worldwide opening shows the scale of audience interest, while the next few days will determine how consistently that demand translates into box-office collections.
