‘Jhoomo’ Out Now: Don’t Be Shy Gets Its First Song Ahead of Prime Video Premiere

The upcoming youth-focused film Don’t Be Shy has added a musical spark to its promotional campaign with the release of “Jhoomo,” its first song.

Released on September 3, 2026, the upbeat track brings together singers Saahel and Jonita Gandhi, with Ram Sampath composing the music and Sampath and Devansh Vaidya credited for the lyrics.

The song arrives ahead of the film's September 25 premiere on Prime Video.

A Celebration of Youth and Friendship

“Jhoomo” is built around an energetic, carefree mood that reflects the film's coming-of-age theme.

The music video features Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati, the film's young lead cast, in a vibrant setting with energetic choreography and a retro-inspired visual style.

The track focuses on friendship, fun and the spontaneous moments of growing up, giving audiences an early glimpse into the film's youthful world.

Ram Sampath on the Song

Composer and lyricist Ram Sampath said the song was created to celebrate the simple joy of living in the moment.

He wanted its rhythm and overall feel to complement the playful atmosphere of Don’t Be Shy, while the cast's energy and chemistry helped bring the song's mood to life.

Who Is Behind Don’t Be Shy?

Don’t Be Shy is written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji and produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under Eternal Sunshine Productions, with Chalkboard Entertainment's Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani as co-producers.

The film stars Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora and Piyush Khati in leading roles, alongside actors including Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu and Neha Dhupia.

The story follows Shyamili “Shy” Das, a 20-year-old who believes she has her future carefully planned before unexpected events disrupt her plans.

First Musical Look at the Film

With “Jhoomo,” the makers are introducing the film's musical identity before its streaming debut.

The song's retro-inspired sound, colourful presentation and energetic performances are designed to match the youthful tone of the project. The track was presented by T-Series and is now available on music platforms.

The release also gives the four newcomers at the centre of the film a chance to showcase their on-screen chemistry ahead of the full movie.

Prime Video Premiere on September 25

Following the song launch, attention now turns toward the film itself.

Don’t Be Shy will premiere on Prime Video on September 25, 2026, in Hindi with English subtitles.

For Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt's Eternal Sunshine Productions, the project represents another step toward introducing new talent and fresh stories to audiences.

“Jhoomo” now sets the musical tone for that journey.
