Dupahiya Season 2 Officially Announced, Premiering October 1 on Prime Video

Prime Video has officially announced Season 2 of Dupahiya, bringing the residents of fictional Dhadakpur back for another round of comedy, drama and village chaos. The second season will premiere globally on October 1, 2026, on Prime Video.

The new season brings back Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashpal Sharma, while Bhojpuri actor and singer Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, joins the cast.

Dhadakpur Returns

Set once again in Dhadakpur, Dupahiya Season 2 revolves around a new set of problems affecting the closely connected village community.

According to Prime Video's official listing, Banwari's barren land is selected for a mobile tower, but the villagers begin connecting the project to everything from typhoid to tsunamis. Meanwhile, Bhugol becomes known as a female influencer, Roshni faces an important SSC examination, and Amavas looks for a shortcut to help her. Inspector Mithlesh suspects that something is wrong.

Original Cast Returns

The central cast from the first season returns for the new chapter.

Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane and Sparsh Shrivastava remain among the principal performers, alongside Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashpal Sharma.

The addition of Dinesh Lal Yadav expands the ensemble, with the actor joining the established Dhadakpur characters for the new storyline.

Sonam Nair Directs Season 2

Sonam Nair returns as director for the second season.

The series is produced by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani, with Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg credited as writers and creators. Amazon Studios is the studio behind the series.

October 1 Premiere

Prime Video has confirmed October 1, 2026 as the worldwide premiere date.

The official Prime Video listing currently describes Season 2 as an upcoming release and carries the same October 1 date.

The second season will therefore arrive roughly a year and a half after the first season, continuing the show's village-based comedy-drama format with a new central problem and returning characters.
