Toxic Advance Booking Creates Massive Buzz Ahead of August 26 Release

Yash’s much-awaited action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is generating massive excitement ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on August 26.

The film has recorded a strong response in advance bookings across India, with Karnataka leading the early ticket sales.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk figures reported by NDTV Profit, Toxic had sold more than 3.54 lakh tickets across India, generating around ₹14.7 crore in gross advance sales.

When blocked seats are included, the figure rises to approximately ₹23.34 crore.

The numbers underline the strong anticipation surrounding Yash’s return to the big screen.

Karnataka remains the strongest market for the film.

The Kannada version had generated approximately ₹8.99 crore from more than 1.93 lakh tickets in advance sales, according to the latest reported figures.

The response is particularly significant because Toxic is an original film rather than a sequel to the KGF franchise.

The Hindi version has also opened strongly.

Bollywood Hungama reported that Toxic sold around 30,000 Hindi tickets across PVR INOX and Cinepolis within six hours of bookings opening.

The publication said the early trend pointed towards potentially strong opening-day business in the Hindi market.

The early response has been especially impressive because advance bookings opened only a few days before the film’s release.

BookMyShow data reported by Sacnilk showed more than 100,000 tickets sold within the first few hours, with Karnataka accounting for a major portion of the demand.

Toxic is expected to release across approximately 12,000 screens worldwide, making it one of the biggest releases for an Indian film.

The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani and Tara Sutaria.

Toxic marks Yash’s major return to theatres following the enormous success of KGF: Chapter 2.

That film transformed Yash into a pan-India star, and expectations surrounding Toxic have remained high since the project was announced.

The advance booking numbers suggest that his popularity continues to translate into strong theatrical demand.

The promotional campaign has also generated strong attention, with fans turning out in large numbers at promotional events.

A pre-release event in Hyderabad recently saw a major crowd, although a sound-system mishap resulted in injuries to several people. Yash stopped his speech and asked organizers to priorities the safety of those affected.

Advance bookings do not guarantee a film’s final box-office performance, but they provide an important indication of opening-day demand.

Toxic’s early numbers show particularly strong interest in Karnataka, while the Hindi market is also showing encouraging momentum.

With several more days remaining before release, the advance figure could rise significantly.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁

Toxic has created massive pre-release buzz, with advance bookings showing strong demand across multiple Indian markets.

The film has already crossed ₹23 crore when blocked seats are included, while more than 3.5 lakh tickets have been sold according to the latest reported figures.

With Yash returning to the big screen, a huge worldwide release planned and advance bookings accelerating, Toxic is heading towards August 26 with enormous expectations.
