India’s U20 Women Wrestlers Add Three More World Medals in Slovakia
India’s women wrestlers continued their impressive campaign at the U20 World Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, adding three more medals to the country’s tally.
Mansi Lather won silver in the 68kg category, while Tanvi Gundesh Magdum and Komal secured bronze medals in the 57kg and 59kg categories respectively.

Mansi Lather came close to winning the 68kg world title but lost a tightly contested final 1-2 against China’s Chenling Song.
The narrow defeat earned Mansi a well-deserved silver medal and another major international achievement.
𝗧𝗮𝗻𝘃𝗶 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲
In the 57kg bronze-medal bout, Tanvi Gundesh Magdum produced a strong performance against Canada’s Agnia Krakovska.
Tanvi won the contest 10-4 to secure India’s second medal of the day.
𝗞𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲
Komal completed India’s three-medal haul with a 5-2 victory over Hungary’s Eda Balazs in the 59kg bronze-medal playoff.
Her win gave India another podium finish in women’s wrestling.
𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀
The latest results took India’s women’s wrestling medal tally at the championships to six: one gold, three silver and two bronze medals.
Earlier, Kajal Dhochak won gold in the 76kg category, while Tanu Sharma and Savita claimed silver medals.
𝗞𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻
Kajal Dhochak delivered one of the standout performances of the tournament by defeating China’s Jingru Sun 7-0 in the 76kg final.
The 18-year-old has now added another U20 world title to an already impressive junior record.
𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴
India finished second in the women’s wrestling team standings with 133 points, behind Japan’s 167 points.
China finished third with 132 points.
