Internet services have been restored in and around Delhi's Jantar Mantar after authorities lifted temporary restrictions following the conclusion of the student protest.
The restoration comes after officials reviewed the security situation and determined that normal communication services could safely resume in the area. Mobile internet and broadband connectivity gradually returned, allowing residents, businesses and commuters to regain full access.
Temporary internet restrictions had been imposed as a precautionary measure during the demonstrations to help maintain public order and support security operations.
With the protest now concluded, authorities have also eased several security measures around Jantar Mantar while maintaining a limited police presence to ensure normalcy.
Local businesses and commuters welcomed the restoration of internet services, saying the restrictions had affected communication, digital payments and routine activities.
Officials have appealed to the public to continue maintaining peace and cooperate with law enforcement as normal civic activities resume in the area.
The restoration of internet services marks another step toward returning the Jantar Mantar area to normal operations following days of heightened security and public demonstrations.
