Amitabh Bachchan Returns as Host for Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18

Kaun Banega Crorepati is set to return with its 18th season, and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan will once again take the host's seat. Sony Entertainment Television has officially announced the new season, bringing back one of India's most iconic quiz shows with a refreshed concept.

This season introduces the campaign theme "Sochna Padega," signalling a shift from simply knowing the correct answers to applying logic, critical thinking and decision-making during the game. The new approach aims to make the competition more engaging while retaining the show's signature question-and-answer format.

Promotional videos released by the makers suggest that contestants can expect new twists designed to test their analytical skills alongside their general knowledge. While the show's core format remains familiar, the updated theme reflects changing learning habits in the digital age.

Kaun Banega Crorepati has remained one of India's most popular television quiz shows since its debut in 2000, with Amitabh Bachchan becoming synonymous with the programmed over the years. His return is expected to generate strong interest among viewers and aspiring contestants across the country.

Season 18 is scheduled to premiere on August 10 on Sony Entertainment Television and will also stream on Sony LIV. Registration for participants has already begun, allowing aspiring contestants to compete for a chance to sit on the iconic hot seat.

With a renewed focus on thoughtful decision-making and a trusted host returning to the stage, the latest season aims to continue the legacy of one of Indian television's longest-running and most successful quiz shows.
